Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Last updated 25 October 2026
This statement covers futuresounds.org.uk. It is run by Future Sounds Partnerships Ltd.
Using this website
You should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen
- use the whole site with just a keyboard, starting with a "Skip to main content" link
- use the site with a screen reader
- change colours and text size in your browser settings
- use the site on a phone, in portrait or landscape
Moving patterns at the top of our pages keep flowing. You can stop them with the "Pause animation" button on their lower right corner, which stops everything that moves on the page and is remembered as you go to other pages. They don't move at all if you have turned on "reduce motion" on your device, unless you press "Play animation". The screens on our Platform page change every few seconds, and you can stop them with the Pause button.
The text is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed to be easy to read for people with low vision.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We believe the site meets this standard, with one known exception:
- The Platform page shows pictures of another website. Text inside those pictures can't be read by screen readers. Each picture has a short description, and the same information is written out in the text beside it.
How we tested
We tested every page in October 2026. We used automated checks (axe-core), and checked by hand for keyboard use, colour contrast, page layout at narrow screen widths, motion, and how forms report problems.
We haven't yet tested the site with disabled users. We plan to, and we'll update this statement when we do.
Problems and feedback
If you have difficulty using any part of this site, or need information in a different format such as large print or plain text, email [email protected]. Tell us the web address of the page and what the problem was. We aim to reply within five working days.
We'll review this statement at least once a year, and whenever we make big changes to the site.
